This guide is a laboratory test for evaluating the efficiency of biological drain maintenance products based on microbiological metabolism intended for use to remove, through bio-degradation, fats, oils and greases (FOG) in environments conducive to microbiological growth. It covers the techniques to simulate microbiological degradation of FOG in an appropriate environment, and for the quantification of the FOG after microbiological treatment.
